How to link to journals in the library catalog...

Linking to a Journal

We suggest linking to the library catalog instead of directly to a databases permalink. Why? In the example below you'll see that the years available for the journal varies by database.

In order to give the students more options, the catalog will show them all different sources to get access to an article..

These examples are not exhaustive of all databases the library subscribes to. If you need assistance with a particular article, journal, or database please contact the librarian for your department.

STEP 1: Find a journal in the library catalog and click the title...

STEP 2: When looking at a journal's detailed record, save the URL out of the browser address bar or click Copy Link icon.

In this case you can see the "Journal of Latin American Studies" as an example of Journal Record in our catalog.

3. Past the link into your document or web page.  Be sure to test the link to ensure it works.
