This guide is to help you locate test and test reviews that are available for educational and psychological testing.
When using the Library Catalog to search for test information try searching for a particular test name or use the following Library of Congress subject headings:
educational tests and measurements
stress relaxation tests
tests of achievement and proficiency
The UMD library does not carry most of these tests. Many of these sources provide information for purchasing the test. When using a unpublished test with a group, permissions should be requested from the author or publisher.
This resource was prepared by the Joint Committee on Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing of the American Educational Research Association, the American Psychological Association, and the National Council on Measurement in Education. It "reflects changes in federal law and measurement trends affecting validity; testing individuals with disabilities or different linguistic backgrounds; and new types of tests as well as new uses of existing tests.
