Kathryn A. Martin Library

Streaming Videos

Kathryn A. Martin Library provides access to thousands of streaming video titles that are licensed for course use by UMD faculty, staff, and students.

Streaming Video Access

Streaming videos licensed by the library are available for use by current UMD students, faculty, and staff.
Use the Library Catalog to find links to streaming video access. Check out the Find Videos page on this guide.

Problems accessing a video?

  1. Video access is restricted to library users who are current students, faculty, or staff. Some videos may require email accounts that end with d.umn.edu.
  2. Make sure you are logged in to your UMD account on the browser you are using to access the video.
  3. To report access problems, look for the Report a problem with a library resource link in the Library Catalog record to submit a report or email the Electronic Resources Librarian.

Library Course Pages

Library Course Pages give students quick access to streaming videos and other electronic course materials from inside their Canvas course.

To add videos to your Library Course Page:

  • Fill out a Course Reserve request and library staff will make these materials visible on the course page in Canvas.
  • Make a Reading List in Canvas yourself.

License Expiration

Video licenses expire at various times throughout the year.
If you're planning to use a video in your course check on the expiration date at the link below to make sure it will be available.
