E-books at the UMD Library  

Our e-books (electronic books) are books in our collection that are available via the web.

To the left is a box that you can use for searching our library catalog for e-books that we have acquired for use by the UMD community. In most cases, if you are off-campus you will need to log in using your UMD login and password in order to access the book.

Above this box are tabs that get you to our individual collections of ebooks that we have through different sources: one for the ebooks we have purchased or get by subscription for the UMD community, and another for e-books that everyone has access to.

We are thinking about how to add e-books for handheld devices to our collection, but we are not making them available at present.
