Refine Your Search

Type your subject in the keyword search.

If you retreive too many records, you can narrow your search by limiting your search to one of the aspects below:

  • title keyword (words any where in title) or title begins
  • Author keyword or author keyword
  • All subject keyword

When you have done your search, you can limit by:

Materials Type
Subject
Author/Creator
Date
Genre/Form
Call Number Group
Subject
Library
Geographic

Once you have found a couple of good citations, check to see what the subject headings are.

WorldCat and ILL

Interlibrary Loan button

Use our interlibrary loan (ILL) services to get books, articles, DVDs, and other items owned by other libraries. The books will be mailed here for you to check out.

World Cat logo

Another way is by searching the catalog-of-catalogs called WorldCat. When you search WorldCat, the results will be in the order of how many libraries in the system own a copy. If you're interested in getting a book sent here for you, click on the title to find out more about it, and then click on the link for ILL or interlibrary loan (there will be a red icon). You will be sent to the login screen for our ILL system.
